Nomadic Studio: A nomad workspace for young contemporary creatives from any discipline.
This project was presented as a Graduation Project of Jorge Penadés on June 2013.
The aim was not only to question the current model of workspace, but also to propose a new one that can be used at the beginning of the young creatives´s practice, emphasizing mobility as a key concept for the new waves of designers, architects or artists.
Based on a structure without any kind of screws, nails or glue, the system works through connections inspired by traditional wooden joinery. It can be assembled and disassembled by hand in a short period of time, allowing the user to move from one place to another very easily. Initially it was designed to be installed inside of both public and private spaces that nowadays are abandoned, disused or can accept temporary activities.
This versatile constructive system can be applied to a wide range of projects, from furniture to whole interiors and also to small architectures.
